The AN/DPM-26A Transponder Test Set provides a portable go/no-go tester for U.S. Navy AN/DPN-90 Radar Transponders. The Test Set radiates to installed Transponders with its built-in antenna. It can also be used in direct-link mode providing more in-depth bench-testing capability. In the bench test mode, the DPM-26A verifies transmit/receive frequency, power output, pulse timing, and receiver sensitivity, and other critical parameters. The unit can transmit and receive radar pulses over the range of 5.4 to 5.9 GHz (C-Band), and from 9.0 to 9.5 GHz (X-Band), all with 1 MHz resolution. The operation of the AN/DPM-26A is kept simple by providing a familiar Microsoft Windows© user interface on a bright LCD touchscreen display. All user operations and indications are made easy by convenient menu-driven, drop-down displays on the touchscreen panel. The entire Test Set is contained in a ruggedized, environmentally sealed equipment case that complies with the requirements of MIL-T-28800 for Type I, Class 2 equipment. One person can easily operate and handle the Test Set on the bench or in the field. The unit is fully qualified for operation where EMI, vibration, temperature, humidity, and water spray are critical factors.
